Meet the Artist

thumb6The adventure of combining light and form can be seen in Joanna Aloni-Boldon’s drawing and painting of seascapes in Mexico and is what she enjoys about making them. These aspects of art, along with color and movement, are what interests her most. She is a colorist and loves to draw and paint and taught drawing at California State University Northridge. She is a graduate in art from UCLA. Her work has been shown in group shows and galleries across the country as well as the Long Beach Museum of Art and is in private collections.

The Fine Art bronze sculptures offer a unique view of movement, form and sense of space stemming from modern dance. Ms. Aloni-Boldon has enjoyed studying dance as a young woman with Bella Lewitsky and Gloria Newman. In the exploration of dance, the body comes into dialogue with space and light. The spirit, energy, movement, grace and physicality in dance is apparent in these sculptures.
